My passion is helping people enjoy fitness and teaching them to continue to enjoy it throughout their long, healthy lives.  Whether you’re a 55-year-old grandpa or his 5-year-old grandson, you were designed to move.  Through correct nutrition and movement, everyone has the capability of increasing their health and fitness level, no matter what current shape they are in.  My goal as a coach is to provide that opportunity and equip you with the tools and knowledge to make it possible.

As an athlete, CrossFit has made it possible for me to physically and mentally take on any challenge that I am faced with.  I have become more and more drawn to challenges like Spartan races, Adventure racing, and taking on business opportunities with enthusiasm and confidence.  My hope is that every QCCF member challenges themselves the same way, expanding their comfort zone into things previously thought impossible.  I look forward to seeing you at the gym!

I’m most passionate about leading people away from Western conventional wisdom of health and fitness.  My hope is to steer them towards a life of eating real food combined with Functional Fitness. Strength is my favorite element of fitness. I want to see people get strong now to prevent a life of injuries, back problems, etc. I believe strength is under-appreciated in traditional fitness today. I’m also passionate about the community of QCCF. I want to help create a place where people can feel like they are a part of a family or community that supports their decision to seek a healthier life.

I truly enjoy working with people who are new to CrossFit, despite their fitness background and helping them achieve goals and do things that they never thought they’d be able to do. Watching our members set new PR’s, learn how to climb a rope, or get their first pull-up is great to be a part of! I love being a part of a group of people who give every workout their all, hold nothing back, and keep trying new things and continually challenging themselves.

I have been doing CrossFit for almost 3 years now, minus the 4 months I took off when pregnant, and I am hooked. Before this, I had never lifted a barbell, let alone a barbell with weights on it. I had never attempted a pull-up, a handstand push up, or a muscle up – never before had I run a 5k. Needless to say CrossFit has turned me into the athlete that I never thought was in me.

My passion and my primary aim as a coach has been to help people break through the unthinkable – to help those who think that a pull-up, a muscle-up, or a clean-and-jerk are among the impossible and coach them in making it an accomplishment. To make a career out of helping others change their lives in fitness, health, and mental well-being has become my definition of passion. Our people at Quad City Crossfit make our box what it is, and I am beyond thankful for each and every one of them.

I was introduced to Crossfit in 2010, I was looking for something else besides the same daily routine at the Globo Gym.   I found Quad City Crossfit and instantly fell in love with the physical and mental challenges of it.  Not only were the challenges great, but the community was the best part of QCCF.  It was great to have a community where everyone got to know each other, and they also helped and supported one another.  I had never experienced an environment like this at a gym, and was instantly hooked.  CrossFit has become one of my greatest passions, so much that I will be Co-Owner of Quad City CrossFit’s second location, CrossFit Motown in moline, IL.  Being a part of CrossFit has driven me to enjoy local Trail and Road races, along with CrossFit Competitions in our area.

Crossfit has become my greatest passion, aside to being a mom and a wife. CrossFit has been a lifestyle to me for over 3 years now and it has been an amazing journey!  I am excited to see lives change because of the efforts of the CrossFit community.   I have been training for 2 years and am looking forward to the future of QCCF.  As a competitor, I have participated in The Heart of America competition in 2010 and 2011, placing 1st and 3rd.  In 2011 I joined the QCCF team at the regionals for an 11th place finish.

My favorite part about being a Crossfit Trainer is the responses you get out of people when they do something they never thought possible. I am pretty good or bad at this, however you want to take it, but I very easily, without thinking set high expectations on people. I love it when someone rolls on the ground after a nasty WOD because they literally pushed as hard as they could, and I expect that. I expect people to push as hard as they can, which is different for every person, but it is so exciting to watch as a coach. Being a coach is extremely rewarding because you get to watch people achieve goals they never ever thought they could do in a million years. I also get to coach my mom and dad, something that not everyone can say they get to do. Coaching them is challenging at times but i absolutely love it, I love the family of Crossfit and that just adds another element. It is so important to have the amazing community, the family, the friends, the athletes that we have because that is what makes it enjoyable. Although I am a fairly new coach I look forward to what the future brings with QCCF and our amazing staff.
