QC CrossFit Success Story:Brooke Mitchell

QCCF has impacted my life in many ways. I moved about 3 years ago not knowing anyone but my fiancé who was busy with school. At that time I had always considered myself a healthy person( I was absolutely wrong about that ) I joined QCCF after I was here for over a year thanks to a friend who attended.  I would complain to her about how much I hated the globo gym I was going to and that I had no motivation to go bc i never saw results. i felt i was going there for no reason. She pushed me to join bc she said she just knew I would love it. After my first free workout I joined immediately! I started meeting really awesome people and found my inner athlete again. Crossfit gave me something to look forward to everyday something that was mine and I could do for myself to make me feel great.

When I joined QCCF I was very soft and fluffy i had no muscle tone at all. I thought I did but now I know different. I got to the point where I was very self conscience. I hated wearing tank tops bc of my arms and I always bought baggy shirts telling myself they were in style. My pants kept getting tighter and tighter and I hardly ever wore shorts. I had accepted that this was my body and I was maintaining it there. I am so glad I got the courage to do something about it. I did my first paleo challenge in the spring of 2012 and that is when I really saw the changes. I had never really ate clean. I was the low fat reduced sugar girl! How embarassing! I won’t eat any other way now. Even though my family still questions me and thinks I am on a crazy “diet” even though I have explained to them many times ITS NOT A DIET!! I saw the changes and I am a believer! I love my body. I love all these muscles! I love how my endurance is getting better and that i get excited to run a 5k bc i want to pr! I love that I can do a pull-up for some reason I never thought I could do one. That was a big day for me. I have so much more confidence now in all aspects of my life. Crossfit changed me for the better

The things that stands out about QCCF are the people. It is so nice to go to a place where everyone gets you and what you are trying to do. Its the little things like the first time you do a workout prescribed, the coaches are right there with you. They are just as pumped as you are when you pr on a lift. I I have to go at different class times because of my schedule and every class I am in feels the same. People are always there cheering you on and going through the same thing you are. There is some kind of bond that forms between everyone, it is nice to be a part of something like that.
o you.
