Ok guys, as 2013 starts, we want you to be the best you can be! So we’re starting our next LBN challenge this month with some changes from last time. We take your opinions and suggestions each time to heart and try to implement them to make each challenge more exciting, more accountable, and more fair so you will see MORE RESULTS.
This time around the challenge will officially start on January 10th with weights, pics, and measurements being taken Jan 7th-Jan 10th. It will run SEVEN WEEKS until the final date of February 27th with final pics, weights, and measurements taken Feb 27th-March 1. The afterparty announcing the winner will be at the Daiquiri Factory on March 2. (Note: the pics will not have your face in them but women must wear shorts and sports bra and men must be in just shorts. Women staff will be available to take pictures of the other women.)
So the changes: First, we all know that not everyone has a ton of weight to lose so this time we decided to split it up a bit. There will be THREE winners: Overall Male, Overall Female, and Total Body Tone Up. Prizes will depend on amount of participation but, based on past, the top male and female winners will receive around $500 each and the Total Body Tone Up Winner will receive around $250. (Note: Those people entering the Tone-Up Category need to let us know when they sign up.)
Now, here’s how you win.
1) Log your food: You need to post your meals for the day on the website Mon-Fri (comment on the WOD post for that day). This is REQUIRED. Those that do not post their food cannot win. You can post multiple days at once if necessary but this is non-negotiable.
2) Earn points by going to the gym: Each week, there will be a sheet with each person’s name on it at each gym hung up. Every day you show up at the gym, initial the date by your name. You get one point for each day you go.
3) Honesty is GOOD: Look, we know everyone’s not perfect, but we want to try to make this challenge have you see REAL results. So we’re asking for your accountability and honesty. On the same sheet where you’ll initial at the gym, there will be a weekly box for you to check whether or not you cheated. Obviously, this is on an honor system. If you don’t cheat, you get 5 points for the week. If you DO cheat, you don’t get any points taken away but we want the people who work really hard to be rewarded for it. Remember people, this is a small town: we have eyes everywhere.

The top THREE males and top THREE females will be chosen based on the point system above and then voted on at the afterparty on March 2nd.
The Total Body Tone-Up Winner will be chosen by the Staff based on Before and After photos and are not eligible to ALSO be an Overall Winner.

There will be a meeting for those participating on January 5th at 10:30 am which will discuss what you’ll be eating, and going over all of the above again, etc. We’re going to make this challenge a little more challenging this time, so get rid of your diet soda now.
For those that can’t make it to the meeting, I will post a general guideline on the website and Members page for you to follow, along with some other resources we find helpful. And as always, we will be available for questions and concerns.
